Tier 2 Engineer Visit

Contents

This tier builds upon the lower tier and introduces advanced measurement and calibration procedures for environments where precision sound and wireless coordination are critical.

During this visit, our engineer / designer will additionally:

  • Capture SPL (Sound Pressure Level) readings across multiple audience zones to map level consistency and determine required gain structure for even coverage.

  • Analyze room frequency response and decay characteristics (RT60) to identify standing waves, reflections, and absorption inconsistencies caused by surface materials or architectural geometry.

  • Perform phase alignment checks between potential speaker locations and identify delay-time corrections for distributed systems.

  • Conduct a full RF spectrum scan to locate open and occupied frequencies, detect sources of interference, and document usable bandwidth for wireless microphones, IEMs, and control links.

  • Generate a post-visit technical report, including recommendations for loudspeaker positioning, system tuning targets, and wireless coordination assignments.

This advanced diagnostic visit is ideal for higher-profile productions, multi-zone events, or venues with challenging acoustics or dense RF environments. It ensures that the final system design is data-driven, accurate, and optimized for tour-grade performance.

Tier 1 Engineer Visit

Contents

This tier provides a comprehensive on-site evaluation to verify that the event space meets the minimum technical and logistical requirements for a successful deployment.

During this visit, our engineer / designer will:

  • Assess power infrastructure using a professional power and circuit analyzer to verify voltage, polarity, and grounding integrity across available circuits. This ensures adequate and safe electrical capacity for any high-demand audio, lighting, and video systems being considered.
  • Measure and document spatial dimensions of the performance and audience areas to confirm stage footprint, ceiling height, sightlines, load-in accessibility, and that the intended production design can physically fit within the space.
  • Inspect and approve laser show operation zones, confirming safe audience separation distances (NOHD), beam path containment, surface reflectivity, and compliance with FDA and ANSI Z136.1 standards.
  • Evaluate production layout feasibility, reviewing placement options for speakers, lighting trusses, LED walls, and control positions to optimize audience coverage and line-of-sight.
  • Recommend additional or corrective services such as supplemental power distribution, delay fills, cable guards, where required or beneficial.
  • Verify contractual compliance items—checking off most technical and logistical requirements on behalf of the Host so that the event can proceed to the next planning phase with confidence.

This tier focuses on verifying readiness, safety, and compatibility—ensuring the venue is fully understood before heavy production commitments or transport scheduling.
